Chris joined the high school faculty in 2012 after graduating with a Master’s degree in History from Florida Atlantic University. During his graduate studies, Chris taught courses in World History and United States History as a Graduate Student Instructor. He also served as an intern in the Special Collections department of the FAU Library, where he created a database finding aid for the Spirit of America Collection, consisting of over 600 rare manuscripts.
Chris currently teaches Social Studies to grades 9-12. He also holds a position as an Adjunct Professor at Northwood University, where he teaches courses in the history of Western Civilization. As a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society and the American Historical Association, he remains current in the field of historical study.
Chris has a passion for many subject fields and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach in his efforts to facilitate learning and spark curiosity in students. While continuing to evolve as an educator, he aims to help students in developing and honing the analytical and critical thinking skills necessary for success in their endeavors beyond the classroom.
